THE MOM BEHIND THE BLOG

I’m Usha Rao

I’m a mom but I’m also a UofU alumni and an ex-Business Analyst who loves her camera and likes to click anything and everything under the sun. Aroha is my current muse, and by far she is the cutest, prettiest thing I have ever clicked. I plan on clicking her pictures as long as she will let me. Photography isn’t the only thing I love - cooking, painting, digital illustrations and crocheting are my passions too.

In this blog you’ll find bits of beautiful things in my life - about my little family of 3 and the things we love - the trips we take, the food we eat, the clothes we wear, toys we play with and much more!

Cook With me

For me, cooking has never been about just putting food on the table. I look my plate as a canvas that needs to filled with colors and flavors. Coming from an Indian background gives me the advantage of understanding spices and layering of flavors. And now with a daughter of my own, food and cooking mean even more because as I mom you always want to give your child whole, healthy and nutritious meals.

“Motherhood is a choice you make everyday, to put someone else’s happiness and well-being ahead of your own, to teach the hard lessons, to do the right thing even when you’re not sure what the right thing is…and to forgive yourself, over and over again, for doing everything wrong.”
